With the title Figure Theatre & Live Music, for the fourteenth edition of INCANTI, the artistic direction dedicates the program primarily to the relationship between puppetry and live music. The marriage of Music and Theatre is particularly fertile also in Figure Theatre, both languages know how to talk to each other with imagination and creativity. Incanti 2007 analyzes this relationship by presenting works that have been able to combine music and puppetry in a fascinating way on the international stage. Program is rich with nine Italian premieres and two debuts. The company Mossoux-Bonté (Belgium) inaugurates with the show Light, a masterpiece on the relationship between dance and shadows. Significant return of Max Vandervorst (Belgium), bringing to Turin Chaises Musicales de la Pataphony Central, national premiere. From Spain the companies Cabo San Roque with The Caixeta, a visual concert full of humor, delicacy and references to the Catalan surrealist tradition and the La cónica/lacónica, already guest Incanti several times, with a short sound and visual trip in the world of wine. The Oisiveraie (France) debut with Le Petit Cirque, small sonorous circus made with recycled materials. From Germany three premieres: the company Erfreuliches TheatErfurt with Adieu, Benjamin, a touching reflection about the death of a child; the company Wonderfool Theater with Mein Schweter Marilyn - Auf der Suche nach Norma Jeane, a hallucinatory journey between psychoanalysis and music; and Norbert Goetz with its refined world of shadows.
